The Problem:
High levels of E. coli make the South Platte River and Confluence Park unsafe for recreational use. A variety of factors may increase these levels. The Environmental Protection Agency and the South Platte Ranger District have asked us to create recovery and management plans to ensure water quality and safety for the thousands of people who recreate in this area.
The Task:
Create a recovery plan to reduce E. coli levels in the water at Confluence Park. Address the following variables:
